Surprised more people have not bought, read and reviewed this. Well worth a few dollars. Very graphic vampire book with a plaque of vampires destroying the world. The only criticism I have is that the end is rushed. It should have been flushed out better with room for a sequel.Product details

I loved this book. Thought it was great. Good old fashioned rip out your throat vampires...no sparkles or falling in love with the living.
This was a great plot and I liked how the story unfolded. Unfortunately, the end seemed rushed and a bit predictable.
A very interesting and unique twist on the Vampire concept but felt it could have been executed better- It was a decent read with strong characters- It was my first read by the author and would consider reading more by him- It was a decent length which is always appreciated-
good concept, the end of civilization caused by vampires, ruined by poor writing, bad grammar and misspellings. Worse, the most interesting part, the beginning of the "plague", just gets glossed over. Cardboard characters as well. Disappointing.
You’ll want some fire, some wood, some silver, some holy water and a cross to deal with these old time vampires since Bret Wellman has done a fantastic job of coming up with some new, gut wrenching ways to die in an apocalypse, and I fear for all the characters, especially the one that holds my name, Sherry…Hits a little too close to home in what has turned out to be one of my favorite vampire stories.
This is a great book. It's well written, the characters are well crafted and there is enough tension to please even the die hard fans of this genre. I really enjoyed reading Dead by Dawn and am sure you will too.
Bret Wellman has a new fan! After reading this book, I'm ready to read more of his work. This is an interesting take on the vampire genre, and I really enjoyed it. The characters and plot were both strong. Be sure to read his amusing bio, and intriguing "lost prologue" at the end. Loved it!
